MUCA’s Organic Catnip is identified by its pleasant minty scent and crispy green leaves.
Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is a perennial herb and a member of the mint family. Catnip contains the chemical, Nepetalactone, which cats find highly attractive. Nepetalactone mimics cats’ “happy” pheromones. This stimulates the corresponding neural receptors that decrease stress and anxiety in cats. Naturally this increases overall feline well-being and happiness.
Catnip Effects: Results will vary from cat to cat and will last 10-15 minutes. Results may vary from drooling, purring, licking, eating or rolling in the herbs. Your cat may start to chase invisible prey or just zone out in a trance. Cats who eat Catnip tend to become more mellow while cats who inhale it’s attractive scent tend to become more excited.
Directions for use: Sprinkle on a plate, in the garden, on your cat’s favorite toy, blanket or scratching post or stuff into a catnip toy or old (clean) sock.
Shelf Life: MUCA’s Organic Catnip is best stored out of direct sunlight and away from moisture so that your cat can enjoy every last pinch. Our Catnip is at it’s most potent 12 months after opening.
Human Use: Catnip is safe for human consumption and has been used for centuries as a sedative tea due to its calming effects much like Chamomile.
We fully believe that aforethought design is just as important to your cat’s happiness as the quality of our herbs.
Our 50ml Catnip is bottled in a luxury glass jar with a resealable and biodegradable cork to lock freshness in every sprinkle. Each jar comes in a recyclable, protective box to prevent light-exposure which drains the potency of the herbs.
Certified Organic Source
Muca’s Catnip is sustainably grown and seasonally harvested from a certified Organic source. This means our Catnip is 100% free from herbicides, pesticides and GMO’s.
Kittens under 6 months have not yet developed the sensory ability to enjoy Catnip.
About 30% of cats don’t have the inherited sensitivity towards Catnip. If your cat doesn’t get the whole Catnip trip, try Valerian Root or the rare Silvervine instead!
Variety is the spice of life: although non-addictive, some cats may get used to its effects. Alternate between your cat’s favorite herbs and limit exposure to keep your kitty entertained.
